2 DAY ENDURO CORINTH AND LOUTRAKI
You will ride through Pateras and Gerania Mountains and visit some of the most scenic parts of these mountains. You will take a short break, and continue exploring the canyons and streams, that will lead you towards the village of Loutraki, a place well known throughout history for its Thermal Baths and the temples dedicated the Hera! The magnificent homonymous Heraion Lake will be a place to stop where you will admire this scenic lagoon embraced by a natural pine forest! The whole landscape is simply awesome, a glimpse around just takes your breath away. Discover the grace of the ancient fairy, the island-like sandy beaches with crystal clear blue waters and indulge in Greek gastronomy in the nearby seafront taverns. The day will conclude with more riding as you will be heading your hotel in the town of Loutraki for a well-deserved rest!
The second day will begin by exploring the nearby Corinth Canal. A marvel of engineering back in the 19th century connects the Gulf of Corinth with the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea. It cuts through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth and separates the Peloponnese from the Greek mainland, arguably making the peninsula an island. The canal was dug through the Isthmus at sea level and has no locks. It is 6.4 kilometres (4 mi) in length and only 21.4 metres (70 ft) wide at its base, making it impassable for most modern ships. Nowadays it has little economic importance and is mainly a tourist attraction. Then the day will be filled with lovely rides in the Peloponnese peninsula and the Ancient sites of Corinth before heading back to our headquarters for a nice beverage!
